01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Casa Celia, nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Sant Andreu in Barcelona, is a takeout restaurant that has quickly become a local favorite for hearty, flavorful Catalan and Spanish comfort food. Its specialty is undeniably the roast chicken, which customers repeatedly praise for its juicy tenderness and masterful seasoning. The moment you bite into their perfectly roasted chicken, you are greeted by a symphony of spices that evoke warmth and homely familiarity, making it a dish you will want to return to time and time again.

The menu extends beyond the chicken, featuring a delightful assortment of classic dishes such as canelones, croquetas, fricandó, bacalao, berenjenas, and pasta. Each plate speaks to the quality and passion behind Casa Celia’s kitchen, with fresh ingredients prepared thoughtfully and served with care. The croquetas, for instance, offer a crispy golden exterior that gives way to a creamy, flavorful inside, while the patatas al caliu provide a smoky accompaniment that perfectly complements the main dishes.

The ambiance of Casa Celia may be simple, focused on takeout convenience, but it is the warmth and genuine attentiveness of the staff that elevates the experience. Customers often share stories of the friendly and accommodating service, with team members who listen and respond thoughtfully to feedback, creating a welcoming and personable vibe despite the restaurant’s grab-and-go format.

Practical and satisfying, Casa Celia offers generous meal packs that provide an excellent balance of quantity and quality—like the popular pack with roast chicken, patatas al caliu, croquetas, and alioli for just 16 euros, praised by customers as both filling and delicious. This is the kind of place where you don’t just pick up a meal; you take home a little piece of Barcelona’s rich culinary soul.

If you find yourself wandering Passeig de Torras i Bages, craving a meal that comforts while delighting your palate, Casa Celia is a must-try. Its dedication to authentic flavors and attentive service makes it a beacon for locals and visitors alike who appreciate good food and heartfelt hospitality.
